Module 1. The Luxembourg AML framework
The four instruments that bind you and the one that does not, which paragraph of article 2 of the Law of 12 November 2004 catches your entity, how to navigate CSSF Regulation 12-02 under time pressure, and the two amending laws of July 2026.
Every instrument this lesson is built from, linked to its official text
Article 2 of the Law of 12 November 2004 lists the obliged professionals; undertakings for collective investment are point 4 of article 2(1), management companies and alternative investment fund managers point 5. The sanction below is the December 2025 decision referred to in the lesson, and it is a prudential decision under article 3(2)(a), 3(3)(e) and 3(5) of the Law of 12 July 2013 on the conditions of registration, not an AML/CFT decision. It is cited to show that registered status attracts enforcement, and it is not evidence of an AML sanction in the fund sector.
